Why Endurance Racing Matters

There’s no better way to unlock your potential than to sign up for an endurance race. 


Whether you're running for the first time or you're an experienced IRONMAN, engaging in endurance sports offers a unique opportunity to set fitness goals, train towards them, and push your limits to achieve success. WHO'S PARTICIPATING?

In the world of endurance sports, there’s significant underrepresentation of certain groups of people. This disparity means that many individuals are missing out on the benefits associated with participating in these activities, which can help them achieve their fitness goals and enhance their well-being. 


Who’s currently participating in endurance sports? Let's take a look.


- Individuals earning between $100,000 and $149,000 a year, which is roughly $30,000 above the current median income in the US.


- Participants aged between 45-49 years old.


- Males, who make up 71% of triathletes.


- Whites/Caucasians, representing 84% of triathletes. 


Understanding these demographics is crucial for overcoming challenges and ensuring that all groups have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of endurance sports.

Why aren’t we seeing more representation in endurance sports? There are a number of reasons, and there’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all answer.
